Privacy Policy for Clip-it

Clip-it is a macOS clipboard manager developed by Dávid Kelen. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
Information Processed
Clip-it processes clipboard content that you copy on your device in order to provide clipboard history functionality. This may include text and images copied through the macOS clipboard.
Clip-it also stores certain app preferences locally, such as history settings and related configuration choices.
How Information Is Used
Clip-it uses clipboard content only to provide the app’s core features, including saving clipboard history, displaying saved items, searching history, and allowing you to clear items you no longer want to keep.
Clip-it does not use clipboard content for advertising, profiling, analytics, or cross app tracking.
Storage and Retention
Clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac. Clip-it does not send clipboard content to a remote server for storage or processing.
The amount of history kept by the app depends on your selected settings. By default, the app keeps up to 20 items unless you change that setting. You can also clear stored history manually inside the app.
Sharing of Information
Clip-it does not see anything you copy.
Clip-it does not sell personal information.
Clip-it does not share clipboard history with advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
Clip-it does not transfer clipboard content to the developer or to any external service.
Sensitive Content
Because clipboard history may contain sensitive or confidential information depending on what you copy, you should use the app with care on shared or unmanaged devices.
Clip-it includes local settings related to sensitive content handling, including credit card detection.
Support Requests
If you contact support, you may choose to provide your name, email address, and message content. That information is used only to respond to your request and manage support communications.

Children’s Privacy
Clip-it is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
International Use
Clip-it is designed to operate locally on your device. Since clipboard history is not transmitted to remote servers under normal use, routine international data transfer does not apply to clipboard content stored by the app.
Your Choices
You can clear clipboard history inside the app, change history settings, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data on your Mac.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted when changes are made.
